Jubei Kibagami has always been a messenger of death, but when he saves a female ninja from a monster, it sets off a chain of events that leads death to his own kin, and them to a nightmare of an onslaught of bizarre and ancient Japanese demons. How can the possessions of demons, a destroyed village, and a man Jubei thought was peacefully buried in the ground be connected?
